In an interview with VentureBeat, Lander Degreve, co-founder and CEO of Spott, stated that recruitment companies have long relied on outdated software to manage daily operations. Spott addresses this issue by providing an integrated AI platform. Degreve pointed out that there are many tools on the market today that only address specific pain points, while Spott aims to reshape the entire recruitment process.

Traditional recruitment software is often a passive record system, using multiple different tools to manage candidate tracking, client management, etc. Degreve noted that with the introduction of AI technology, the problem of fragmented tools in the recruitment industry has become more severe. Spott's platform can automate the entire process from candidate screening to final onboarding, allowing recruiters to focus more time on improving performance. The founders of Spott, Degreve and Manu Vanderveeren, previously worked at top consulting firms such as McKinsey and BCG, and their extensive experience in this field supports the company’s strategic vision. Degreve emphasized that to truly harness the potential of AI, the recruitment platform must be fundamentally rebuilt. Unlike traditional single-point solutions, Spott seeks to create a comprehensive operating system.

Degreve pointed out that the general acceptance of AI in the recruitment industry remains low due to the fragmentation of existing tools and the lack of deep integration with existing workflows. He believes that Spott's platform will help alleviate these issues and significantly shorten recruitment times.

In the next 6 to 12 months, Spott will focus on developing "proxy workflows," enabling AI agents to take over the entire process management during the recruitment lifecycle. Degreve stated that this transformation will allow recruiters to concentrate more on building relationships with candidates and clients rather than getting bogged down in administrative tasks.
