Chip manufacturer NVIDIA recently announced that it will cooperate with Humain, an artificial intelligence (AI) startup under the sovereign wealth fund of Saudi Arabia, to supply 18,000 advanced AI chips to the country. This announcement was made during a visit by a U.S. delegation to Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the UAE, marking a significant step for Saudi Arabia in AI and cloud computing infrastructure.
Jensen Huang, founder of NVIDIA, stated at the Saudi-US Investment Forum that "AI is like electricity and the internet, it is basic infrastructure for every nation." He emphasized that the cooperation with Humain aims to build AI infrastructure for the people and enterprises of Saudi Arabia to achieve the kingdom's grand vision.
According to the forum speech, these advanced Blackwell chips will be used in a 500-megawatt data center. NVIDIA mentioned that the first batch will use its newly released GB300 Blackwell chips, which are currently the most advanced AI chips from NVIDIA and were officially released earlier this year.
Through this cooperation, Saudi Arabia hopes to further enhance its capabilities in the field of AI, attract more foreign investment, and promote national technological development.
