This significant medical technology was jointly developed by the National Clinical Research Center for Obstetric Diseases at Tongji Hospital, affiliated with the Tongji Medical College of Huazhong University of Science and Technology, and multiple institutions. Its aim is to enhance the screening and treatment levels of female tumors.
The "Mulan" model is based on nearly 20 years of high-quality case data and combines authoritative domestic and international guidelines and expert consensus on female tumors, making it particularly suitable for Chinese women's health needs. This AI model addresses the low standardization and poor homogeneity in China's diagnosis and treatment of female tumors, filling a gap in this field.

The public can access the "Tongji · Mulan AI Consultation" service free of charge through the official WeChat account of "Huazhong University of Science and Technology Tongji Hospital" or the "Palm Tongji" app. In the future, this model will be available through more mobile and computer applications as well as various levels of medical institutions, aiming to reach a wider user base.
The "Tongji · Mulan" model adopts the deep reasoning capabilities of DeepSeek combined with Shenzhou Healthcare's multi-modal data intelligence foundation, constructing a "dual-engine" architecture that comprehensively integrates clinical information, imaging materials, pathological data, and other multi-source information. Through this technology, the model can provide preliminary screening, result interpretation, and health education for common female tumors for general users while also generating personalized diagnosis and treatment recommendations to offer doctors precise auxiliary decision-making support.
The launch of this model is expected to significantly improve the ability of grassroots doctors in tumor screening, risk assessment, and standardized referral, promoting the homogeneous development of tumor diagnosis and treatment. Chen Gang, the deputy director of Tongji Hospital and a member of the research team, stated that the application of artificial intelligence provides new ideas for solving clinical diagnosis and treatment challenges and helps promote the balanced allocation of medical resources.
